My favourite book

I am Tiberiu and I am thirteen years old. I like reading at home at my desk. My favorite book is “The Prince and the Pauper” by Mark Twain. This book is full of adventures. It’s fantastic. It tells the story of two young boys who are identical in appearance: Tom Canty, a pauper who lives with his father in London, and Prince Edward, son of Henry VIII of England. I like the way they exchange their lifestyles. What is your opinion?

My favourite book

I am Luminita, fourteen years old. I am reading “Amintiri din copilarie“ (Childhood Memories) by Ion Creanga, who was a very famous writer in my country. His stories are exciting. I like best the stealing of cherries, the swimming in the river together with the other children in the village during the summer, the stealing of the bird from the tree, the singing of carols on the New Year’s Eve. I invite you to read it, too. I tell you it is extraordinary. I am reading it in my classroom.

Book Worm in Turky

 

We decided to choose week’s “Book worm”. We have prepared a board that we put on the bulletin board which is next to the library. Everybody can write his/her name end of the each three week period on the paper next to the “Book worm” board. After each period, we check the list and decide the “Book Worm” of the three-week period. Then, we write name of this person on the board and gave a book separator that our students do for their contributions to themselves and to the society. These pictures are from the classroom activity for the preparations of “Book Worm” and some pictures of book separator that students prepared.

New from Turkey

Students from different grades read books and prepared posters about them in order to inform other students, teachers, staff, etc. about those books at school. They gave information about the parts they liked very much, general idea of the book or the main point that authors stress on. Some of them used pictures, drew caricatures and pictures by using their creativity. During those activities, some of 4th grade students made models about the books with the help of their creativity

Although we have spring temperatures the last months our snowdrops start blooming last week.
The daffodils and crocuses wait for more sunshine. But we already can see the first leaves at Weizberg.

My favourite book

My name is Anca. I am 14. I live in Bacau. My favorite book is “The Return of Tarzan” by Edgar Rice Burroughs. It is an adventure book. I love this book because it is very funny. I like reading in my room near my teddy bears in the evening.

My name is Dennis. I am 12 years old. I am reading a book called “Poems”. Many of these poems are about nature. The author is Mihai Eminescu. He was born on 15th January 1850 in Moldavia. He was so talented that he received a great nickname “The Starlight of the Romanian Poetry”. Besides he wrote a beautiful fairy-tale “The Prince Charming born from a tear”. This fairy-tale is about a Prince that fights with many imaginary monsters. And we know that every fairy-tale has a happy end. After years of hard working he died on 15th June 1889. Now even he is physically dead he still lives in our souls. My favorite place of reading is in my classroom.

My name is Alexandru from 6D, “Ion Creanga” School in Bacau. I am 12. Have you ever had that feeling that you can’t stop from reading a book? You searched a lot and couldn’t find a book that can give you this feeling? Well, the book that I will tell you about is a book that fascinated me, and the whole world. It is about “Harry Potter”, the bestseller of the 21^st century. J. K. Rowling wrote all seven books in a small café from Edinburgh. All the action is about a boy whose parents were magicians. They died when trying to combat Lord Voldermont, an evil wizard who tried to gather people as his servants, and the ones that didn’t agree, were killed. Later on, Harry reaches Hogwarts, the school of witchcraft and wizardry, where the big and exciting adventures begin. If you can read these books, do it! It will make you feel like no other book did. It’s a book full of adventure and friendship. ENJOY YOUR READING!!!!!!
